Senior Technician Leila Bijan Kuehr
Feldman Architecture welcomed Leila as a consultant to the firm at the start of 2016, until 2026, when this relationship flourished into full employment with the firm. With twenty-six years of experience in architecture and planning and a deep appreciation for design and detail, she brings both fresh energy and deep expertise to her role as Senior Technician.
Leila earned her Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, where she originally studied Political Science as an undergraduate student. She has since contributed to the design and planning of a wide variety of projects, ranging in scale from high-end residential projects to large-scale institutional projects and in location from New York City to the Bay Area. Before joining Feldman Architecture, Leila managed the design, permitting, and construction of a Hayes Valley contemporary senior care facility in San Francisco through her own independent practice, as well as acted as a consultant to acclaimed Bay Area firms. She appreciates the value of clear communication and collaboration and approaches each project as a puzzle to be solved and enjoys piecing its parts into a coherent whole.
In addition to being an architect, Leila is a mother to three children, a practicing yogi, and a painter who picks up her brushes and charcoal in rare quiet moments.
