25-005 Slingshot

On a scenic, expansive site in a development just outside of Park City, our client envisioned a warm, private retreat that frames distant mountain views of Deer Valley and Mt. Timpanogos. The resulting design sensitively navigates and preserves the site’s complex topography and dense shrub oak, floating above the tree canopy to capture the best of Utah’s mountain ranges.

Entry Sequence

Site Sensitive

After an in-depth site-analysis, the design team iterated through a handful of schemes, ultimately selecting the Boomerang, which thoughtfully protects and shields occupants from prevailing northern winds and provides privacy from close-by neighboring properties. The Great Room is perched at the structure’s elbow, taking advantage of the property’s most scenic distant mountain vistas, as well as Golf Course and pond views in the foreground. The Primary Bedroom is nestled into a protected nook, with a unique vantage point of a rock formation.

Interiors

The material palette focuses on warm, locally sourced wood and stone, providing a soft, inviting feeling and a meaningful aesthetic connection between the interior and exteriors.
