INTERIORS: ST. FRANCIS WOOD

The renovation of St Francis Wood refreshed a classic San Francisco home, marrying elegant and modern design with a respectful historic preservation. The home features an open floor plan allowing sweeping views of the surrounding gardens, and through the skylight topped central stair, natural light filters down all three stories connecting the home with sunlight from top to bottom. The interiors team worked with a palette of white and grey, and integrated light and warm teak, cypress and white oak to contrast aged brass details. Decorative lighting, wall-coverings, and lively patterned tiles add moments of playful interest, and custom furniture, such as a curved family-room sofa invite a sense of lightheartedness into an elegant space.

A renovated top floor features four light filled bedrooms with newly vaulted ceilings and crisp white details, as well as a custom master bed. The dining and family rooms are accentuated with darker tones and gold accents– creating a formal feel in a family-centric dwelling. Family friendly materials, such as a wipeable faux leather banquette in the family room, blend sophistication and practicality.
