^Designer Yanhang Ren

Yan joined Feldman Architecture in March 2021 after previous residential experience in San Francisco. She earned a Master of Architecture degree at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, and prior, received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from China, where she cultivated a deep understanding of the relationship between building and site.

Prior to graduate school, Yan held internships at Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris, and later practiced in Beijing where she worked on a range of commercial and residential projects. Yan finds beauty in design that shapes the atmosphere and experiences of space. Also a structural enthusiast, Yan is drawn to the complexity of form and force and how building tectonics influence artistic architectural design. Outside of office, Yan enjoys travelling, model kit making, and watercolor painting.
