Malavika Mallik, LEED G+A, graduated with a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Previously, she worked as an intern at Olson Kundig, focusing on projects that scaled from single family residences to a multistory ski lodge.
As an intern in Sri Lanka, Malavika was exposed to Geoffrey Bawa’s architecture, which inspired and further developed her interest in tropical modernism. She is passionate about working with raw and local materials and interested in further exploring the role of materiality in her architectural practice.
During her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting and urban illustrations, as well as hiking, playing badminton, and practicing yoga.
