Senior Interior Designer
The ideal candidate is a highly creative and detail focused interior designer who shares our aesthetic sensitivity, commitment to environmental stewardship, and will push our team to continue to create acclaimed projects and spaces. This individual will embody Feldman Architecture’s core values: professionalism, teamwork, and passion and commitment, and has proven experience successfully managing small to medium teams on complex single-family residential projects. They have in-depth knowledge of construction documents, 3D modeling, space planning, as well as product development, specifications, showrooms, and custom furniture design. The Senior Interior Designer will work under the Director of Interiors to coordinate all phases of innovative residential interior architecture from initial design concept to furnishings installation.

Interior Design or Architecture degree required.
7+ years of interiors experience managing high quality residential projects (primarily in single-family residential).
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and management skills.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to lead a project team and manage project schedules, budgets, and track fees.
Delivers high-quality service and communications to clients and vendors.
Passion for sustainability technologies, design principles, and products.
Coordinate and drive all phases of high-end, residential interior design from initial interior architecture design concept to installation.
Take a leadership role working with the Director of Interiors on project scope, scheduling, and budget requirement of each project.
Represent Feldman Architecture in meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors, and relay relevant information to the design team.
Effectively communicate design vision and aesthetic to junior staff members.
Work with Director of Interiors to delegate tasks and oversee design team progress to meet project schedules.
Competence in creating floor, space, and furniture plans and elevations in Revit and/or SketchUp and produce hand drawings or computer renderings that communicate design intent.
Confer with vendors, the Director, and other designers during all stages of product development to ensure accurate production.
Competence in creating and reviewing interior design plan documents such as finish schedules, specifications, product/room matrices, templates, schedules, and shop drawings.
Prepare and issue proposals, coordinate with vendors for purchases, manage and expedite furniture orders through installation.
Coordinate installation timelines with the Director, Contractor, and/or Receiver and attend installations.
Keep and maintain all project-related information per Feldman Architecture standards.
Demonstrate effective communication and professional management skills.
Develop long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms, and vendors.
Display a thorough knowledge of trade resources and continue to stay abreast of industry trends and changes.
Feldman Architecture's hybrid work model allows staff the opportunity to both work from home, as well as at least 3 days a week in our lively design studio - a recently renovated Fire House off of Polk Street.
