Project Manager
Feldman Architecture is an award-winning architecture firm specializing in sustainable, modern custom residential design with a portfolio expanding to include a range of innovative and exciting commercial and public projects. The studio’s culture is inclusive - all members of our firm collaborate with clients, and consultants to create smart and sustainable solutions with conceptual clarity and precise detailing. We are in search of an experienced Project Manager to help us craft site-sensitive, beautiful spaces alongside a team of like-minded individuals.
The ideal candidate is a highly creative architect who shares our aesthetic sensitivity, commitment to environmental stewardship, and will push our team to continue to create acclaimed projects and spaces. This individual will embody Feldman Architecture’s core values: professionalism, teamwork, passion, and commitment, and has proven experience successfully managing small to medium teams on complex single-family residential projects. They have technical experience developing simple to complex details, and deeply understand specifications and their role in construction documents. They are a highly organized project manager, able to track project fees and understand contract requirements in relation to budget, schedule, and scope of work.
The position is full time with a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401K, a transit plan, continuing education funds, and reimbursements for ARE and LEED AP exams.
Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required.
10+ years of architecture experience (primarily in single-family residential)
Excellent verbal, written, organizational and management skills.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of Type V construction and construction means and methods including appropriate products, specifications, and detailing. Experience in Construction Phase Services, liaising and communicating between clients, consultants, and contractors.
Proven experience with building code/entitlement process and permitting process as it relates to single-family residential design.
Ability to lead a project team and manage project schedules, budgets, and track fees.
California Architect License preferred.
Deep knowledge of and passion for sustainability technologies, products, and net-zero strategies. Experience with LBC/IFLI a plus.
Hybrid opportunity to both work from home, as well as in our lively design studio - a recently renovated Fire House off of Polk Street.
