Interior Designer 2
The ideal candidate is a highly creative and detail focused Interior Designer who shares our aesthetic sensibilities, commitment to environmental stewardship, and will push our team to continue to create acclaimed projects and spaces. This individual will embody Feldman Architecture’s core values: professionalism, teamwork, passion, and commitment, and has experience as a supportive role on small to medium teams on complex single-family residential projects. They have supported teams in the production of construction documents and presentations for both Interior Architecture and FFE, are skilled in 3D modeling, and have familiarity with specifying fixtures, finishes and furnishings. The Interior Designer 2 will work under the Senior Interior Designer in all phases of innovative residential interior architecture from initial design concept to furnishings installation.

Interior Design or Architecture degree preferred.
4+ years of Interior Design experience managing high quality residential projects (primarily in single-family residential)
Excellent verbal, written, organizational and management skills
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp or Rhino, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite
Passion for sustainability and sourcing healthy, local products
Familiarity with residential construction, including appropriate fixtures, finishes, detailing, and documentation methods
Ability to manage deadlines and participate in multiple projects
Strong written and verbal communication, conceptual design, and schematic design skills
Independent self-starter as well as collaborative team player who thrives in an open environment
Support the Director of Interiors and Senior Interior Designer to complete tasks and meet schedules
Draft furniture plans and interior elevations in Revit
Create hand drawings or computer renderings (sketchUp or other) that communicate design intent
Create Interior Design documents such as client presentations, finish and fixture schedules, and furniture proposals
Prepare and issue proposals, coordinate with vendors for purchases, support expediting of furniture orders
Support in furniture installation
Keep and maintain all project-related information
Demonstrate effective communication
Display a thorough knowledge of trade resources and continue to stay up to date on current industry trends
Feldman Architecture's hybrid work model allows staff the opportunity to both work from home, as well as at least 3 days a week in our lively design studio - a recently renovated Fire House off of Polk Street.
